Hi Michaela, Your blog is lovely and I thank you for writing this spectacular story! Honeybees are so important to our planet and becoming a beekeeper has given me a profound respect for their work. Please keep in touch and Happy Bee season!

It's a pleasure, Kim. Thank you for commenting. I have a deep respect for your work and Marina's work, as well as that of apiaries and of course the bees. Where would a passionate horticulturalist be - without bees? (to say nothing of their exquisite honey...)
Thank you sincerely.

Thanks for the mention of both the magazine and the book...readers will find, I think, that Marina's book and the Honey Hand Book fit nicely together if interested in the fine art of producing, harvesting, and then eating honeys...Kim Flottum

Good Morning Victoria - Well you certainly are the early bird ! Sunrise is beautiful here this morning too - in fact your description captures it perfectly, if you replace 'buildings' with 'tree tops'. Thank you for your comments. It certainly is easy to write an interesting post with such an enchanting subject. Marina is a fascinating woman.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for commenting.

Your posts get more and more enchanting.

I love beeswax candles - the color of them, the scent of them, the feel of them. I need to get beeswax tealights and six-inch tapers.

Today I came to work very early. The sun is just now peeking over the buildings in a blinding display, and the sky is bright blue with a few billowing clouds. It's a good day to be alive. Have a good one!
