Peony Season in New England

IMG_1566.JPGPaeonia lactiflora begins her reign in this entry garden I designed for a favorite Vermont client. Also in bloom here is Salvia nemorosa ‘May Night’, singing harmony beside the Martin-violet tinted foliage of Penstemon digitalis ‘Husker’s Red’

Hi M, So nice to hear from you and see this garden again. It is again right; or am I thinking of another client that you showcased during the process of planning and implementation? (Tried the hunt & peck method to find it in the archives, but with no luck… ):
    Happy June! xo D.

Hi Deb, Thank you! Good to hear from you as well. And yes, this is a client I featured a few times; at the beginning stage/planning and various points throughout. There are some photos in the way-back archives. Peony season is hard to skip, even though I’m technically still on “break” from garden design (could never leave completely!). Enjoy it! xx M

YES!! I finally found it – Susan & Bob’s garden back in 2012, that is – probably right about when you were writing this, hey?; )
Love how it’s developing; so many great plants and a testament to your skill as Artist, Designer and Keeper of the Earth… Kudos, M! xo
